Engaging Online Students with the "Discussion" Tool

Posted by Centre for Learning and Teaching on November 2, 2017 in General Announcements

Dr. David McNeil, Department of English

David McNeil has taught at Dalhousie since 1984. He has used digital resources in his classes since they were first made available in the early 90s. Professor McNeil has taught online since 2010; specifically, he likes to offer an online section simultaneously with a regular section. Since exchanging views is a critical component of any humanities class (he teaches English Literature), he has developed some strategies on how to make better use of the "Discussion" tool to engage students.
