POSITIONS: Teaching Assistants: Fall (September to December 2017)

CLASS, CLASS NAME, ASSIGNMENT (hours/term):

1) HAHP 2000: Human Growth and Development (110 hours)

2) HPRO 2250: Drugs and Drug Education (110 hours)

3) LEIS 2296: Leadership and Group Dynamics (110 hours)

DEPARTMENT: School of Health and Human Performance

PAY RATE: In accordance with Agreement between Dalhousie University and Canadian Union of Public Employees (https://www.dal.ca/content/dam/dalhousie/pdf/dept/hr/Academic-Staff-Relations/CUPE-3912-Collective-Agreement-2012-2016.pdf)

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The teaching assistant will be responsible for duties which may include: preparation of teaching material, in-class duties, marking, invigilation, office duties, and communication with students and supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Enrollment in a graduate program in relevant subject area; alternatively, a graduate of a Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Recreation, or Leisure Studies program. Previous marking experience would be an asset. Applicant must be available during all scheduled class times.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Enrollment in a graduate program in relevant subject area; alternatively, enrollment in a senior level Kinesiology undergraduate program or a graduate of a Kinesiology program. Previous instructional and marking experience would be a strong asset. Applicant must be available during any scheduled laboratory times throughout the term.
