GRANTS
The Centre for Learning and Teaching designed grants to support initiatives that have the potential to address student engagement and retention at Dalhousie University. Faculty and staff members are invited to collaborate with the Centre for Learning and Teaching on the development of proposals for projects designed to enhance the learning experiences of students in any year of study. The projects may range in scope from Faculty to the classroom level.

1) Teaching Scholarship Grants - These grants are intended to encourage and support educators to develop new and innovative methods in teaching and learning through evidenced-based projects. Two types of grants will be given: Design and/or Development; and Assessment of Impact on Student Learning. Deadline to apply is January 16, 2017.

2) Change One Thing Challenge - This grant is an open invitation to the university teaching community to submit a description of a student engagement activity that has been developed as part of their current teaching practice, and that they believe has a positive impact on student learning. Deadline to apply is Februrary 6, 2017.

AWARDS
The Centre for Learning and Teaching administers eight University-Wide Teaching Awards. These awards honour those individuals who, through engagement and innovation, have significantly enhanced the quality of teaching and learning at Dalhousie University and beyond. The deadline to apply is February 27, 2017.
