More recycling comes to Sexton Campus

Posted by Facilities on April 25, 2016 in Facilities Management

Beginning Monday, April 25, staff, faculty and students on Sexton campus will be responsible for sorting their waste material regularly into four-bin systems (Paper, Recycling, Organics, Garbage - PROG) in hallways and other central areas as part of Dalhousie’s Solid Waste Management Plan. Single garbage bins have been removed from offices, cubicles, classrooms, labs and common spaces on Sexton Campus. Several other buildings on the Agricultural and Halifax campuses already follow this practice which supports a university sustainability target of 70 per cent diversion from the landfill by 2020. Studley and Carlton campuses will follow by fall.
