World Interfaith Harmony Week

Posted by Dalhousie Multifaith Centre on January 28, 2015 in General Announcements

A week-long series of events to observe United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week begins on February 1. Titled “Sacred Spaces: Meeting Our Neighbours,” the Week is co-sponsored by the Dalhousie Multifaith Centre. A number of faith communities have been invited to each hold an event during the week which will welcome the public. These events will be held in regular places of worship, prayer, and practice.

On February 1 at 2 p.m. there will be a Celebration event in the Multipurpose Room, Rosaria Centre, Mount Saint Vincent University. The program will celebrate understanding, harmony, and compassion through songs, music, prayers, meditation, dance, and displays presented by people from diverse faiths.
