Flu shot clinics on campus

Posted by Student Services on October 28, 2014 in General Announcements

Dalhousie Student Health Services and the School of Nursing are teaming up to provide members of the Dal community with mobile flu shot clinics around campus.

Why should you get the flu vaccine? To protect yourself and the people around you. The flu is contagious and can spread quickly and easily. It is responsible for about 12,200 hospitalizations and 3,500 deaths in Canada each year. So while you may in top health, people around you may be at risk of serious complications.

The clinics staff and faculty members will take place:

Nov. 5: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. SUB Rm. 307
Nov. 13: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Sexton Industrial Engineering Building – MA120
Nov. 19: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Tupper Link Breezeway
Nov. 27: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. SUB Rm. 302

Staff and faculty must register online to receive a flu shot.

Please wear short sleeves and bring your provincial health card or health insurance card.

For more information and to register please visit dal.ca/flu.

Flu shots will be available to faculty and staff on the Agricultural Campus on November 5 (1:30-4 p.m.) in the Health Services office. Check the Agricultural Campus Health Services website for more information.
