Pride Week 2018: Proud to Parade

- July 24, 2018

Dal students, staff, faculty and others donned their best Pride colours Saturday (July 21) to join in the annual Halifax Pride Parade, this year with an added dose of 200th anniversary excitement.

Other members of the Dal community celebrated from the sidelines as part of a cheering section set up outside the Medjuck Architecture Building on Spring Garden Road next to the central library. Face-painting, freezies and flags kept the vibe cheerful and vibrant despite overcast skies.

Dalhousie staff photographer Nick Pearce took to the streets to capture all the excitement in Halifax.

Ahead of the Halifax parade, Truro hosted its own pride parade on Saturday, July 14. (Rocky the Ram photo from the Truro Pride Parade provided by Agricultural Campus staff)
