Photo Essay: Dal gives back

- March 6, 2018

It was a fitting goal: 2,018 hours of volunteer service during February to mark 2018, Dal’s 200 anniversary year.

And Dalhousians of all kinds — students, faculty and staff — pitched in to make it a reality and then some, contributing a grand total of 5,178.5 hours of civic engagement during the month-long Days of Action initiative

Different community organizations partnered with Dal to provide students and others with a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the month, including during reading week from Feb. 19 to 23.

Dozens of people came out to a closing reception last Wednesday in the atrium of LeMarchant Place where pictures from the month's activities were on display.

Photos of the reception and from various activities during the month captured by Hayat Showail, Laara Richardson and Rigel Biscione.
