A little singing, ringing through the rafter

- December 21, 2017

Song filled the floors of the Dalhousie Arts Centre Tuesday (December 19) as the Annual Dalhousie Carol sing brought the calendar year on-campus to a close with a spirited set of holiday sing-alongs.

With President Richard Florizone away, Provost Carolyn (Caroling?) Watters stepped in to host this year's event, which featured favourites like "Angels We Have Heard On High," "The Dreidel Song," "Jingle Bells" and more. Jacqueline Warwick, musicologist and Fountain School of Performing Arts director, not only led the festivities but provided insight on the history of various songs — including that "Silent Night," like Dalhousie, will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2018.

Photographer Nick Pearce was there to capture the seasonal sights.
