The Dalhousie International Students Association (DISA) and the Dalhousie Arts and Social Sciences Society (DASSS) are putting the house back in Dalhousie as they bring the whole world under one roof at the World of Winter (WOW) Festival.??

The WOW Festival celebrates – you guessed it! – winter and world cultures. Dalhousie’s finest will be showcased for your entertainment and enjoyment. Ever felt like knitting your grandmother a sweater? Learn how at an exclusive knitting workshop. Get yo swag on with fresh threads from Nepal, and bust a move to some Persian piano (or the jazz band if that’s your thing). Grab a bite of Acadian food – or if that’s too exotic for you how about some Italian food??

Performances and events put on by the Spanish department, Dalhousie Improv Club and over 10 other societies will be ready to ring in the New Year with a celebration of diversity and culture.

This event is free. Strut into the cultural diversity of Dalhousie’s student and faculty Thursday, January 20 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the SUB lobby and Room 307. Find out for yourselves what hidden talents your fellow tigers have to offer and enjoy the cultural diversity Dalhousie has to offer.
