Dal's Steven Mannell will add his intellectual muscle to a podcast series on Vancouver 2010.

Under a partnership between Vancouver 2010 and The Globe and Mail, Canada's top academics have been invited to produce podcasts on topics related to the 2010 Winter Games. The "Intellectual Muscle: University Dialogues for Vancouver 2010" podcast series have been produced in either French or English at 25 universities across Canada, including Dalhousie.

The first podcast, focusing on what the Games contribute to society, was made available October 8, and at least two new podcasts are being added online each week up until the start of the Olympics in February.

The topics are provocative, including "What do the Olympic Games contribute to society?" and "The $6 billion question: is it worth it?" Professor Steven Mannell, director of the College of Sustainability at Dalhousie, will present "Making change happen: University leadership for a sustainable future" on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
