Toronto Maple Leaf legend Darryl Sittler was the guest of honour at the second annual Dalhouse Tigers Celebrity Dinner and Auction. The event was a huge success and the organizers were extremely pleased with the turnout and support shown for the Tigers.

Sittler talked to the crowd about many of his experiences both on the ice with the Maple Leafs and in life. His speech had the crowd captivated from start to finish and the crowd was delighted when he signed autographs and posed for photos throughout the night.

The event brought in just over $72,000 for Dalhousie Tigers teams, a huge increase from last year. Organizers were overwhelmed with the support shown for the Dalhousie athletic programs, said Kevin Tobin, Senior Manager of Development with Dalhousie Athletics and Recreation. "We would like to thank everyone who came out and showed their support,” he added.

Two-hundred items were auctioned off, with more than 450 people in attendance.
