Athletes of the Week

The following students are Dal's Athletes of the Week (for the week ending Jan. 14):

Kelly Donald (Basketball) led the Tigers to a 1-1 record while taking on the Memorial Sea-Hawks in Newfoundland on the weekend. In the first game she scored 14 points and dished out five assists in a tough 81-69 loss. In the re-match on Sunday Donald had another great performance again scoring 14 points to go along with seven assists on the way to a 73-65 road win. She also went 8-9 from the free-throw line on the weekend. The fourth year captain is a Kinesiology
student from Ammon, NB.

Christopher Wall (Hockey) had a stellar week in net, stopping a total of 86 shots giving up only 6 goals. On Wednesday at Acadia Chris made 45 saves in a tough 2-1 overtime loss to the Axeman. He then made 41
saves in a huge 6-4 win over the CIS seventh ranked Saint MaryÕs Huskies. Wall is a first year Health Promotion student from Halifax, NS.
