Athletes of the Week

The following students are Dal's Athletes of the Week (for the week ending Jan. 7).

Kate McNeil (Basketball) poured in 20 points in the Tigers victory over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Saturday night at Dalplex. Kate, a third year forward, was a major factor in breaking the MUN press, offering a very gritty performance as she has been suffering from an achilles tendon strain. McNeil is a biology student from Halifax, NS.

Germain Bendegue (Basketball) was a dominant force in the Tigers overtime victory over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Saturday. He scored 19 points on 7-15 shooting and also hauled in a massive 14 rebounds. The Sea-Hawks were focused on slowing Germain down and he did a great job of finding open teammates when they sent double-teams at him. Bendegue is a third year arts student from Yaounde, Cameroon.
