Dalhousie's Athlete of the Week (for the week ending Dec. 31) is Monte Francois (Basketball). Monte had a great weekend, leading the Tigers to a berth in the championship game of the Rod Shoveller Memorial Tournament. On Friday he had 24 points and 5 rebounds in a win over the University of Maine Fort Kent Bengals. In the semifinal against Acadia Monte scored 12 points and was all over the court in the Tigers convincing 20-point win. In the championship game against StFX he had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Monte is a 5th year senior and team captain, from Scarborough.
