Athletes of the week

The following athletes were honoured for the week ending Sunday, November 16.

Alex Legge is this weekÕs Dalhousie Female Athlete of the Week. Legge set the pace for the Tigers during this weekendÕs road trip, logging over 70 minutes on the court between the two games. The rookie guard completed six for 10 field goals and led the Tigers in defensive rebounds during the convincing 72-59 road win over the X-Women Friday night in Antigonish. LeggeÕs efforts kept the Tigers close during SaturdayÕs game, shooting eight for 11 from the floor, leading the Tigers in offensive rebounds, and averaging 100% in both her three-point and free throw attempts despite the 74-78 loss to the Capers. Legge is a first year science student from Mahone Bay, NS.

MALE Ð JORDAN MORRISON
SPORT Ð HOCKEY
 
Jordan Morrison is this weekÕs Dalhousie Male Athlete of the Week. Morrison was the catalyst and driving force to this weekendÕs positive results for the Tigers. The first year forward posted one goal and one assist against the Huskies on Saturday, and assisted with two more goals on Friday versus the X-Men. MorrisonÕs leadership and ability on the ice kept the Tigers in the hunt during SaturdayÕs over-time 5-4 loss to the Huskies, posting the TigersÕ only goal in the shootout. Morrison is a first year arts student from Uxbridge, ON.
