Access Dalhousie

- November 23, 2005

Think the student experience at Dalhousie is all it could be?  Do you know how we can we improve the way we deliver services to students?  If so, the newly-formed Integrated Undergraduate Enrolment Planning Initiative wants to hear from you!

We all know there are challenges. Now it's time to present your ideas on how to cut the "red tape." Can you identify a policy or a process at Dalhousie that lacks a sound academic or administrative justification and should be changed to improve service to current or prospective students?  Send your ideas and suggestions for improvement to ImproveService@Dal.Ca by Friday, Dec. 2, 2005. You could win one of 10 prizes of $100 each.

"Dalhousie is a large institution that has a diverse range of programs and opportunities. Students, especially those new to Dal, may be daunted by the policies and processes that we have created over many years," said Sam Scully, Vice-President Academic & Provost. "We want to change the way things are done in order to improve the student experience, and we are looking for input about policies and processes that frustrate for no reason, from the people most likely to have the answers: students, faculty and staff."

Every suggestion will receive careful consideration, and you will receive a response.  Stay tuned - later in the year, major findings and how the university plans to act on them will be communicated.

Keep in mind there is no deadline for good suggestions. Good luck!
