Nova Scotians can expect stormier weather and higher grocery bills as global warming tightens its grip on Canada, warns a Dalhousie environmental expert.
Professor Peter Tyedmers says that Nova Scotians can expect warmer and wetter weather as climate change heats up the Atlantic Ocean and drives more powerful hurricanes and storm systems. For local farmers, it means a greater risk of flooding and crop damage, but also longer growing seasons.
