Laurel Schut and Lindsay Clowes have created a new organization that is looking at the issue of food waste. They came up with the idea while studying and researching for their Master of Environmental Studies (MES) here at SRES. During their MES program they both worked on different projects around the province where they saw the opportunity to do something with the food that got left behind in the system. Drawing influence from Ottawa's Hidden Harvest program, they were surprised there wasn't a similar operation already running in Halifax.
