SRES Mentorship Program ‑ Alumni

Become a Mentor

The School for Resource and Environmental Studies is pleased to continue the Alumni Mentoring Program. The Program will allow alumni to share their experiences and expertise with students who are exploring career options and developing the tools to be successful young professionals.

To apply to be an Alumni Mentor you must have graduated from the MES or MREM Program, with at least three years of work experience since graduation. Alumni Mentors will be matched with students based on student research/employment interests and alumni's expertise.

Your commitment

The SRES Alumni Mentoring Program officially runs from January of each year to August each year but unofficially can continue as long as both parties are in agreement.

Our students are encouraged to take a lead in initiating and maintaining contact with their mentor. Alumni Mentors should expect to have a minimum of three points of contact with the student (either by phone, email, Skype or in person if that's possible).

Participate as an Alumni Mentor

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, watch for the call for mentors in early to mid-January. The goal is to have matches completed as early in the new year as possible.
