Patterns Numerical and Analogue Modeling Laboratory

The Patterns Numerical and Analogue Modeling Laboratory uses computer-based modelling systems and remote-sensing images to study a range of scientific questions. Problems under study include frost-wedge systems, thaw lakes and catastrophic flood events in permafrost, the geomorphology of Mars, and modeling of fracture systems in a variety of settings.

In addition to the Cosmogenic Nuclide Exposure-Dating Facility (CNEF), the Patterns Numerical and Analogue Modeling Laboratory along the Micropaleontology Lab support research into Quaternary events and problems in geomorphology.
