TA of the Year

Awarded annually by the students of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences for outstanding contributions to the education of Earth and Environmental Sciences students.

2022 Recipient - Ray Beazley

The quality and commitment of a teaching assistant has the ability to make or break the classroom experience. The TA of the Year award is an opportunity for the student body to show their appreciation for a teaching assistant who went out of their way to support the students in an Earth and Environmental Sciences class in a given year. This award is especially poignant this year, after the challenges students faced with the CUPE strike in the fall semester. Despite the frustration that ensued, the perseverance and integrity of the recipient of this award earned him the win in a landslide. Congratulations Ray Beazley, TA for ENVS field school and first-year environmental science!
