Feier zum Semesterende

Posted by German Department on April 4, 2025 in News

Once again we held the end-of-year celebration in conjunction with the Dal King’s German Society – with great food and many awards.

Book prizes were presented to students at each level of the language classes, and additionally a kind of ‘mini-Oscars’ was held for the students of Dr Daniela Roth’s Intermediate German class, where awards (golden bunnies) were presented for categories such as ‘Best Performance’, ‘Best Costumes’ and ‘Most Humorous’.

The 2025 Mader Award was presented to Henry Leitch, who will use it to fund a semester at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität in München (Henry is shown here, right, with Nick Kinley, left).

A special guest in attendance was Suzanne Rix, the German Honorary Consul for the maritime provinces—and an alumna of the Dalhousie German Program.  Thanks for your support, Suzanne!

Der Käsekuchen vom Gingerbread Haus hat sehr gut geschmeckt!
