Student Work

Through projects in their courses, our students do work in Design, Humanities, Technology, Representation, and Professional Practice. Some of this work is done in the Architecture studio or the Faculty's workshops. Some of it is done on-site in July, when BEDS and MArch students work together on design-build projects called "free labs." The school has a long tradition in design-build that is documented in the book Free Lab, 1991–2006, available from Dalhousie Architectural Press.

More Student Projects

Design work by previous students has been published in StudioEast, an occasional journal produced by Dalhousie architecture students. Copies are available from Dalhousie Architectural Press.
