Mitacs Elevate supports 2-year research projects between post-doctoral fellows and industry partners.  For every $1 of an industry partner’s $25,000 contribution, Mitacs provides $1.30 in matching funds for a total research grant of $57,500 per year. This includes support for postdoc fellows and up to $7,500 in research costs for equipment, additional research personnel, conference travel and publishing costs. Mitacs Elevate also provides a quality professional development program for postdoc fellow participants; covering a variety of career-skill areas such as project management, entrepreneurship, networking, presentation skills, etc.

Letter of Intent Due:     November 26, 2014
Application Due:            December 3, 2014 (1:00 pm PST)
Results Announced:       February 25, 2015
Project Start Date:        No later than June 3, 2015

• Nova Scotia is limited to 2 elevate approvals per year (subject to provincial funding). This is a competitive process.
• The Industry Partner and University must be located in Nova Scotia.
