Filming on Campus
Media filming on campus
As part of a media request to interview someone within the Dalhousie community, permission for access to buildings and offices may also be arranged through our media relations team. Out of consideration for students’ learning environments, access to classrooms, libraries, labs, and examination areas is limited and requires special permission.
Commercial filming on campus (movies, commercials, documentaries etc.)
If you are looking to film on campus as part a documentary, movie, television program, commercial or any other type of production that is not related to media coverage, you will need to contact Meghan Burke with Events and Conference Services. They will work with you to determine if your request can be accommodated and to facilitate necessary approvals.
Please note - Due to the ongoing global pandemic, many of our campus buildings are closed. If a request for filming on campus is approved, it must follow current public health protocols and adhere to the university's Return to Campus (RTC) plan and strict safety protocols.
