How to apply

The following steps guide you in your application to the cohort initiative:

1. You complete a regular application for BSc Medical Sciences.
    - Remember to self-identify, with consent

2. The Registrar’s Office sends you an email, indicating they have received your application and letting you know you are eligible for the MedSci cohort application process.

3. You complete your personal statement and your reference letter and send these to admissions@dal.ca with the subject: MEDSCI IPMP

4. The Registrar’s Office sends you a second email, indicating they have received your secondary admissions components and that your application package is complete (or, that they require something further).

5. The Medical Sciences admissions committee reviews your application.

6.  The Registrar’s Office sends an official Dal acceptance letter if you are successful.

Important Deadline Information

General Application deadline February 15

Secondary Admission Components deadline: Those applicants wishing to be considered for the IPMP initiative can submit their secondary admission components after the February 15 deadline to be considered for one of the 20 reserved seats.   

Applicants seeking admissions consideration through the IPMP initiative should be aware that the admissions committee meets regularly throughout the year to make offers to qualified applicants. A late request for admissions consideration will be reviewed, provided there are still available seats.
