Andreas Straathof (BSc) has been awarded the Anonymous Prize in Economics for 2012-13. The prize is awarded to an Economics student or students, not in their last year, "who has (have) shown through an essay outstanding promise of successfully applying economics to the solution of human problems." Straathof was nominated by his Econometrics (Econ 3338) professor, Courtney Ward, for his paper entitled: "Using Oil Prizes to Forecast Canadian GDP Growth.”
