Biography

Dr. Yetunde Tola is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, and a researcher. She holds a PhD in Nursing from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, a Master of Nursing Science from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. She has experience in adult medical and surgical nursing, maternal and child health, mental health nursing, oncology nursing, and geriatric care.

Dr. Tola’s primary area of research focuses on intervention development for addressing both pain and psychological aspects of cancer. Also, she is involved in ageing research and continues to study the intersection between ageing and cancer pain management. She has presented her works at various international and local conferences. At the school of nursing, she teaches multidimensional aspects of cancer, nursing in the context of persistent illness, leadership, ageing and clinical integration and simulation courses.
