Congratulations to our staff, students, faculty and alumni on their recent achievements:

  • Rita Caldwell, former Director of the College of Pharmacy, was presented  with an Honorary Life Award by the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) at the Canadian Pharmacists Conference Awards Ceremony in Ottawa on May 28, 2015.  This award recognizes Rita's contributions to pharmacy, the CPhA, and the profession nationally.
  • Sara Kirk (Health and Human Performance), Jessie-Lee McIsaac (Post-Doctoral Fellow, Health and Human Performance) and Brenda Sabo (Nursing) were recently awarded $324,500 from the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer-related research projects.  Jessie-Lee McIsaac is the Principal Investigator, CCS Career Development Awards in Prevention for 2015 and Brenda Sabo is the Principal Investigator, CCS Knowledge to Action Grants for 2015.  Jessie-Lee is supervised by Sara Kirk.  In a letter to Dalhousie, the Canadian Cancer Society wrote:  "Our gold standard peer review process selects projects from Canadian scientists most worthy of funding regardless of where the research is taking place.  Your investigators supported by the Canadian Cancer Society are among the best in the country and we are delighted to work with you to foster success and innovation in cancer research."
