  • Congratulations to Marsha Campbell-Yeo (Nursing) and the team from the Centre for Pediatric Pain Research at the IWK on the release of their video "The Power of a Parent's Touch."
  • Congratulations to Shauna Houk (Nursing) who is the recipient of the Mrs. E.B. Eddy (Bennett) Professorship of Nursing.  The professorship, which is for a term of two years, provides release time for the recipient to focus on scholarship and publication.  Shauna plans to focus on the preparation and publication of five scholarly papers in the field of nursing education.
  • Congratulations to Brenda Beagan (Occupational Therapy) on the publication of "Acquired tastes: Why families eat the way they do."  The book is the result of a study by a CIHR-funded research team - on which Brenda was co-PI with Gwen Chapman (UBC) - that looked at the eating practices of 105 families from a variety of backgrounds in ten sites across Canada.
  • Congratulations to Kelsey Campbell - a fourth-year student in the Nuclear Medicine Techology Program - on receiving the Heather Mattice Memorial Award at the recent Health Sciences Recognition Reception.  The award is named for Heather Mattice - a Nuclear Medicine Technology student who passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  Her friends and family established the award to celebrate her life and in memory of the care and compassion that she demonstrated for her chosen profession.  Each year Heather's parents Wayne and Linda Mattice travel from New Brunswick to present the award in their daughter's memory.
