The first Monday in June marks World Orthoptic Day - an opportunity to heighten the visibility of the orthoptic profession and to promote the activities of orthoptists locally, nationally, and internationally. Dalhousie University's Clinical Vision Science program is the largest North American orthoptics program, and is marking the day with by promoting awareness of their profession through:
- an article in Dal News - "Eye spies: Inside Dal's small-but-mighty Clinical Vision Science program;"
- An "Orthoptics Q&A" on their website - learn about orthoptics and how to become an orthoptist; and
- An "Eyes and Vision Care Q&A" - dispelling common myths about eye care for children.
