Funding News from the School of Nursing

Congratulations to the following for their recent grant successes:

  • Janet Curran (Nursing) Principal Investigator and her team, including Andrea Murphy (Pharmacy), received a CIHR Knowledge Synthesis Grant in the amount of $99,339 (March 2013 - March 2014) for the project "Closing the Loop in Pediatric Emergency Care: A Narrative Synthesis of Best Practice for Providing Discharge iIstructions to Parents and Children."
  • Janet Curran (Nursing) Principal Investigator and her team, including Andrea Murphy (Pharmacy), received an IWK Health Centre grant in the amount of $14,000 (February 2013 - February 2014) for "Identifying Essential Content for Discharge Instructions to Caregivers in Pediatric Emergency Care: A Delphi Study."
  • Sheri Price and Gail Tomblin-Murphy (Nursing) received a Dalhousie Nursing Research Fund Grant (2013) in the amount of $5,000 for "Exploring Millenial Nurses' Professional Socialization Overtime: A Longitudinal Narrative Inquiry."
  • Sheri Price, Gail Tomblin-Murphy, Janet Curran and Kelly Lackie (Nursing) received an NSHRF REDI Team Development Award (2013) in the amount of $9,979 for "Enhancing Interprofessional Collaboration through Early Health Professional Socialization."
  • Sheri Price, Gail Tomblin-Murphy and Kathleen MacMillan (Nursing) received a NSHRF Knowledge Sharing Support Award (2012) in the amound of $9,200 for "ESSENCE: Exploring Socialization Strategies to Enhance Nurses' Career Experiences."
  • Gail Tomblin-Murphy and Ruth Martin-Misener (Nursing) received a CIHR Cafe Scientifique Program award in the amount of $3,000 for "Who do we need to be doing what?  Health Human Resources Planning for an Aging Population."
