Holly Meyer-Dymny

Holly Meyer-Dymny (she/they) is an award-winning theatre designer, painter, mentor, educator, activist, and a board member of the Associated Designers of Canada. She creates Set, Lighting, and Projection Designs for theatre, dance, opera, and musical theatre. Her work focuses on conversation, collaboration, holistic design, and accessible, greener practices.  

Holly loves to share her knowledge and expertise with students and has worked as a designer, lecturer, and mentor at Dalhousie University, Toronto Metropolitan School of Performance, Laurier University, Sheridan College, and Acadia University.

Over the past few years Holly has participated in numerous panels and work groups dedicated to building better practices for theatre and art creation. She is a champion of creating a unique, resilient, and sustainable life and art practice.

When she isn’t designing for the stage you can find her creating children’s book illustrations, baking, gardening, reading a good fantasy novel, or somewhere in the woods with Penny the dog.
