Debra Lacoste is Project Manager for the Digital Analysis of Chant Transmission at Dalhousie University, led by Jennifer Bain. She has been Project Manager of the digital research tool Cantus Database for over 25 years, and also oversees Cantus Index. Her publications include 5 co-authored, authored, and edited books; over 20 authored and edited journal articles; 116 Cantus Database inventories; and 13 user manuals. Experience in Digital Humanities and academic collaboration was invaluable as she served a term as “Digital and Multimedia Editor” for the Journal of the American Musicological Society (2017-19, vols. 70-72). Lacoste also teaches trumpet studio at the University of Waterloo and is the Director and General Editor of the publishing company, The Institute of Mediaeval Music.
