Dalhousie welcomes Edward Versteeg to the position of instructor. Ed will assist with the delivery of the new Bachelor of Technology in Landscape Architecture program offered at the Faculty of Agriculture in Truro, and at the Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fuzhou, China.

Ed arrives at Dalhousie with 20 years’ experience in the practice of landscape architecture in Atlantic Canada. He has built-up a substantial portfolio of constructed works and master plans for urban development, institutional campuses, large public parks, trail networks, private estates and residences. His professional work has led him to discover inspiring project sites, and to collaborate with outstanding clients and professionals who fuel his enthusiasm for landscape architecture.

Ed has strong ties to professional organizations, with membership in the Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architects (APALA), the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) and the Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation (LACF). He currently serves on the APALA scholarship committee, and is a director, fundraising committee chair and awards juror for the LACF. In the past he served for 8 years on the executive of APALA and as a director of the CSLA.

Ed is excited to join the Dalhousie University community, and to contribute to the launch of the first landscape architecture program in the region.
