Professor John Gardner has researched and consulted on the first-year student experience for over 20 years. He leads an Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education and has supported several Canadian institutions in increasing the first-year experience for their students, leading to stronger success and retention.
On May 17 and 18, by the invitation of the Strategic Priority 1.1 Project Team, John Gardner will visit Dalhousie to talk with the university community about specific ways to implement some of the recommendations in our various Dalhousie reports, focusing on strategies inside the classroom and beyond.
