International Development Week
Since its inception in 1991, International Development Week (IDW) has sought to celebrate Canadian contributions to poverty reduction and international humanitarian assistance throughout the world. Each year, Global Affairs Canada chooses a theme around which to fucus events. This year's IDW theme is “Go for the Goals”- referring to the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals or SDG's. We have a number of activities planned, all with a central focus on goal #5 Gender Equality; but also encompassing a number of the other goals. Check out our events schedule below to see all that is happening and how you can participate!
