ACENET Training Sessions: Using New Cedar and Graham Clusters

Posted by Suman Jha on September 18, 2017 in Events

Introduction to Using New Cedar and Graham Clusters

The most extensive renewal of advanced research computing resources in Canada’s history is well underway. Arbutus (University of Victoria), Cedar (Simon Fraser University) and Graham (University of Waterloo) are state-of-the-art systems with a combined computing power of nearly 70,000 cores.

This is an introductory session to using Graham and Cedar. Participants will learn about their capabilities, file systems, available software, the Slurm scheduler, and how to get up and running. The session provides an overview and quick-start guidance.
