New funding opportunities from the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada

The MS Society of Canada's 2018-2019 Research Grants and Awards Competition is now open. Applications are due October 2, 2017.

Note: For those who hold an endMS Studentship Award or Postdoctoral Fellowship and are seeking funding for an additional year, the deadline to submit a progress reports is November 1, 2017 at 16:00 EDT.

3. Pilot Grants - NEW (for Clinical and Population Health Stream only)

The MS Society uses an online research grants and awards management system that enables researchers to submit, and review, applications on the Web. The system is called Easygrants and can be accessed online here. Interested applicants must create a profile on Easygrants through which they can complete the application process. The application deadline is October 2, 2017 at 16:00 EDT.

What’s new this year?
1. The MS Society will launch a Pilot Grant competition for Clinical and Population Health research projects. The program is intended to support novel research that will open new lines of inquiry in MS and enable researchers to collect preliminary data for subsequent studies. 2. The MS Society has changed the parental leave policy and policy for holding external awards from other funding agencies. Please read the endMS Personnel Awards Policies for more information.

3. The MS Society created a new infographic to help researchers develop their lay summary. The lay summaries will be evaluated by community representatives on impact and relevance of the research and comprehensibility of the lay summary.

Did you know that the MS Society has an ongoing Contract Research Organization Grant for researchers interested in services offered by CROs and specialized drug discovery and development organizations. This is an open competition with no set deadline.
