Employee Groups

There are a number of employee groups on campus that represent faculty and staff. Some of these groups form bargaining units with collective agreements and are represented by the following unions:

• Dalhousie Faculty Association (DFA)
• Nova Scotia Government and General Employees' Union (NSGEU) [Local 77 and Local 99]
• Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) [Local 3912]
• Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) [Local 86001 and Grant-Paid Union representing grant-paid employees working for Halifax-based principal investigators]

The non-union employee groups on campus include:

• The Dalhousie Professional & Managerial Group (DPMG) is a group comprised of managers and professionals at the university. See DPMG Handbook [PDF] and DPMG salary scales (effective July 1, 2023) [PDF]
