Neera Datta, M.Sc. M.Ed. Registered Psychologist

Neera is a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in School Psychology and has worked at Dalhousie University since 2007. She works collaboratively with students to establish their goals and learning needs using a strengths-based, supportive approach. Goals can be varied and may include time management, organizational skills, how to study at the university level, how to edit essays, how to maintain focus and build motivation, how to break down tasks into steps, etc. Additionally, she conducts intake interviews, reviews psychoeducational, ADHD, and ASD assessment reports, reviews appropriate accommodations, and discusses self-advocacy skills.

Neera understands the challenges that one can experience academically given her lived experience and her training in school psychology. Neera feels that understanding your learning needs and implementation of appropriate learning strategies can help to allay some of the stress and frustration you may be experiencing, and can help set the stage as you go forward in your academic career.
