Dalhousie has an expert available to speak on the effects of climate change on human health, specifically the impacts of heat/thermal stress, as well as the recently developed Canadian Environmental Quality Index, whose indicators include how extreme weather (heat/cold) influences the quality of environmental conditions in neighbourhoods in 30 of Canada’s largest cities.

In 2022, Dalhousie University ranked among the top 50 universities in the world for its leadership in ocean teaching and research. For Shark Week, which starts on July 24, Dalhousie has experts available to speak on a number of important topics related to sharks.
