From Vivian Howard (Acting Dean, Faculty of Management): In October, the Dalhousie Senate presented SIM professor, FoM Associate Dean Academic, and former Senator, Mike Smit, with the 2018-19 Lloyd Fraser Award for Outstanding Senate Leadership. This award, named for long-time Chair of Senate Lloyd Fraser, recognizes a member of Senate or a Senate standing committee who shows exceptional leadership that results in substantial benefit to the Senate and the University. Mike is only the second Senator to receive this prestigious award.
