SIM Alumni Launch Vestia Solutions Inc.

Posted by SIM on April 23, 2013 in Alumni & Friends, News

Vestia Solutions Inc, a Halifax-based records and information management consulting company, launches today. The company is co-founded by accredited librarians and information managers Terrance LeBlanc and Laura Dukowski, who aim to help organizations navigate the fast-changing, and often overwhelming, information management landscape.

Working on a records management project for a leading Halifax law firm, “impressed upon us the practical value and necessity of records and information management across industries”, says Terrance, and alerted both founders to a serious service gap concerning records management in the Halifax-based private sector. Laura and Terrance shared a vision and pooled their strengths to turn Vestia Solutions into reality.

Vestia Solutions’ objective is to help organizations manage their information more effectively to yield benefits like improved operational efficiency, cost savings, and solid audit and e-discovery preparedness. “We know that designing great information management strategies begins with understanding each organization’s unique personnel dynamics and workflow. We take these components into account and work closely with clients to craft tailored and affordable information management solutions that make sense in the long run”, says Laura. In addition to consulting services, Vestia Solutions runs workshops that allow participants to become familiar with a particular aspect of records management in a short period of time. “We feel that the educational component is key to enabling professionals to effectively manage company records and information”, says Terrance.
