Federated Research Data Repository

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on February 1, 2021 in Announcements

The Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR) harvest and discovery OAI-PMH feed has launched, and FRDR metadata is now being harvested by the OpenAIRE Research Graph. This will ensure that Canadian research is represented in this global research aggregator. You can now view FRDR records in OpenAIRE.

The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability. The FRDR repository OAI-PMH endpoint exposes data deposited directly into FRDR, and will always remain openly accessible in keeping with best practices for open repositories. You can view the OAI-PMH feed on FRDR.

OpenAIRE is a European Union initiative which provides interoperability services to connect research and enable researchers, content providers, funders and research administrators to easily adopt open science. The OpenAIRE Research Graph is one of the largest open scholarly record collections worldwide, providing access to Open Access research outputs.
