Grand Challenges Explorations

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Grand Challenges Explorations program is seeking innovative global health and development solutions, and is now accepting proposals for its latest application round.

Initial grants will be US $100,000 each, and projects showing promise will have the opportunity to receive additional funding of up to US $1 million.

Applications on the following four topics are now being accepted:
* Health Systems Strengthening: Ensuring Effective Health Supply Chains;
* New Approaches for Improving Timeliness of Routine Immunizations in Low-Resource Settings;
* Wearables and Technology for Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Behavior Change;
* Innovations for Integrated Diagnostics Systems;

Any Dalhousie faculty member interested in any of these opportunities is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) for more information and support in preparing an application.

Deadline: 3 May 2017
