Mitacs is pleased to announce a new offering: the Mitacs Globalink Early Career Fellowship for Brazil. This initiative provides funding for postdoctoral fellows from Brazil to undertake 12-month research projects in Canada.

The fellowship supports research in the following fields:

• Biodiversity and conservation; climate science; environmental science; sustainable development
• Coal technology
• Engineering; environmental engineering; minerals processing and metallurgical engineering; mining engineering
• Geology; geomechanics; geophysics; hydrogeology; marine geosciences
• GIS and remote sensing
• Renewable energies
• Smart grids
