Project Funds for North America

Posted by Alana Milner on April 28, 2015 in Research Funding

The Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research have launched the “Project Funds for North America” program of its North America Strategy for Higher Education Cooperation for 2016-17. This strategy is targeted particularly at connecting collaboration in higher education between Norwegian and North American institutions to enterprises in the public and private sectors. This call is directed towards encouraging such collaboration, and all applications must include this perspective.

The aims of the project funds are:

  • To contribute to the development of institutional partnerships through academic collaboration between higher education institutions in Norway and North America
  • To promote higher education cooperation with the US and Canada related to mutually beneficial and educationally relevant collaboration with or involvement of enterprises in the public and private sectors
  • To contribute to increased mobility of students and staff between Norway and North America.

For further information on the program and the application process, please visit the project's website.

Please note that applications are to be prepared and submitted by Norwegian higher education institutions. Therefore, applicants would need to have an existing relationship in place with a Norwegian institution in order to apply.

Any Dalhousie faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact Jennifer Morawiecki in International Research & Development, for more information and support in preparing an application.
