University Committees

 

DPMG elects representatives to sit on the following University Committees:

  1. Employee Benefits: provides feedback to the University regarding the operations of the Benefits Plan. See the Terms of Reference.

  2. Job Evaluation Appeals: provides a process to appeal job evaluation decisions taken by the Job Evaluation Analyst and Committee. See the Terms of Reference.

  3. Joint Occupational Health & Safety: cooperatively engages employees and employers on matters related to occupational health and safety. There are separate committees for the Halifax and Truro campuses; see the Terms of Reference for Halifax and Truro.

  4. Transportation & Security: serves as a means of communication between the University Administration and the university community on matters relating to security and transportation demand management issues. See the Terms of Reference.

  5. Employment Equity: works through, and with, the Human Rights & Equity Advisor to implement and make continuously effective Dalhousie's policy on affirmative action and equal opportunity. See the Terms of Reference.

  6. Presidents Advisory Committee Sexualized Violence: The President’s Advisory Committee on Sexualized Violence is responsible for working through, and with, the Human Rights & Equity Services to provide advice on the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Sexualized Violence Policy and the University’s Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response Strategy. See the Terms of Reference.

  7. Pension Advisory: considers any and all matters relating to pensions and the administration of the Pension Plan. See the Terms of Reference.
